WHAT IS THIS HANEGEV THING ANYWAYS?!?!
Hanegev is the Southeast region of United Synagogue Youth, the high school age arm of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. To see a map of all the regions, click here! Hanegev consists of the following states:
-Alabama
-Georgia
-North Carolina
-South Carolina
-Tennessee
-Florida
-Mississippi
Three sub-regions make up Hanegev. They are:
-Arvot (South Florida)
-Mercaz (Central and North Florida)
-Ein Gedi (the rest of the region)
Each sub-region meets twice a year, in the fall and in the spring. The region also meets several times a year, at International Convention, Yom Theme Park, and Regional Convention.
The goal of HaNegev is to provide a comfortable social and educational environment for Jewish teens in the southeast.
